Location

Heather View is a three-bedroom cottage set in the village of Threlkeld, near Keswick, in the northern Lake District. Threlkeld is a small village situated at the foot of Blencathra which is a popular walk. The village also has 2 pubs both of which serve excellent food and drink.

Heather View is ideally located for those looking for a picturesque base in which to explore the northern fells straight from the cottage. Keswick is only a 5 minute drive away with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants, you can walk to Keswick from Threlkeld via the old railway lines. Keswick golf club is just up the road.

Accommodation

The cottage can accommodate up to 6 adults in 3 bedrooms.

Ground Floor:
Living room: With 46” Smart TV with Freeview, woodburning stove, 2 sofas and chairs.
Kitchen: With oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
Dining room: with large dining table and 6 chairs and a Wi-Fi streaming system.
Utility room/ Outhouse: With washing machine and tumble dryer. Plenty of room for bikes and walking gear, to be hung up and a power supply for e-bikes.

First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With double bed and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet WC.
Bedroom 2: With super king/twin zip and link bed, please state when booking.
Bedroom 3: With twin beds, (with a zip and link bed to convert to a double if required).
Bathroom: With bath, shower above bath and toilet, WC.

Oil central heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue. Private parking for 4 cars.

This detached, Lakeland stone cottage stands at the foot of one of the most exciting fells of the Lake District – Blencathra. With spectacular views to both the front and rear of the property, it is well furnished and equipped and has been tastefully decorated offering comfort and relaxation. Ideal for a quiet country experience with the convenience of Keswick nearby for those wanting a bit of night life, shopping, variety of restaurants and cafes with the ease of retreating back to Heather View.

Situated in the heart of Threlkeld village, which boasts 2 excellent pubs serving food which are 20 metres away which serves great food and beer – walk across the road for breakfast, prebooking advised, and Threlkeld Coffee shop is a short walk from the property, it is ideally situated with easy access to Blecathra, Skiddaw and the Keswick fells and lakes. Excellent walking and cycling from the doorstep on the C2C cycle route especially walking the picturesque old railway to Keswick and fishing for Pike, Salmon, Trout, Perch is also available locally.  Keswick is 4 miles away, there is also a frequent bus service that comes through the village. Keswick Golf Club ½ mile from the village. This is a perfect village for a good base for activities like mountain biking and Paragliding or ideal for that get away from it all.

Prices range from £950 to £1650 throughout the season. Short breaks are available through the winter months
